They answers phones, make appointments and take messages for patients. They serves as liaison between patient and medical support staff.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: 

  • Experience dealing with the public in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment or office setting.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and courteously. Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while keeping close attention to accuracy.
  • Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation in order to forward patient information to the medical staff.
  • Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to prioritize a variety of tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team participant.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  1. One year of work experience in a medical office setting.
  2. Knowledge of medical terminology is desirable.
  3. Previous experience with cash handling, word processing, and using computers.

Pay Ranges

Base Hourly: $20 per hour
Annual: $42000 – $53000
