Description

The Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining day-to-day operations of the Local Area Network (LAN) and the Wide Area Network (WAN). The ANA is the backup person for network troubleshooting and problem resolution of the LAN and WAN. The ANA is responsible for knowledge of system security and integrity of the servers and system files.

Typical Requirements: 

  1. Computer knowledge and keyboarding experience.
  2. Familiarity with current Microsoft and Linux products.
  3. Familiarity with Cisco switches and security appliances.
  4. Knowledge of SAN configuration and maintenance (EMC Unisphere) and Synology.
  5. Understands and maintains a domain-based Windows server platform, active directory, and group policy objects.
  6. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  7. Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritizes workload, and meet deadlines.
  8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  9. Ability to analyze information, solve problems and make reasonable and logical decisions.
  10. An Associate’s degree in Computer Science/Computer Programming or College-Level coursework includes 50 or more computer science/programming credits.
  11. Two years or more of technical and administrative support in the IS environment.
  12. One year or more of experience in programming and/or system analysis.
  13. One year or more of experience with Microsoft Office and Linux products.
  14. One year or more of help desk duties in a mixed environment, including various current Microsoft Windows Server and Windows products.
  15. One year or more of hardware (PCs/servers/printers/routers/firewalls) installations, configurations, and troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Computer Programming
  2. Two years or more of technical and administrative support in the IS environment.
  3. One year or more of experience in programming and/or system analysis.
  4. One year or more of experience with current Microsoft Office and Linux products.
  5. One year or more of help desk duties in a mixed environment, including various current Microsoft Windows Server and Windows products.
  6. One year or more of hardware (PCs/servers/printers/routers/firewalls) installations, configurations, and troubleshooting.

Pay Ranges

Base Hourly: $33 per hour
Annual: $69000 – $119000
