Performs all of the duties of a Radiographer (including bone densities and PVR) and a Mammographer; covering shifts as needed. Helps to motivate the activities of the staff assigned, ensures the safe and efficient delivery of quality health care. This position must have the ability to also fulfill the mammography job description (see job description, Mammography Technologist)

Description

Performs all typical duties of an RT; captures general x-ray images to aid in the healthcare provider’s diagnosis of injuries and illnesses. Performs bone densitometry scans, fluoroscopy studies, mammograms and other radiography studies within your licensing. Ensures the safe and efficient delivery of quality health care. Serves as a resource for teammates with limited licensing.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: 

  1. Certification by the ARRT
  2. Licensure by the state of Oregon in required modalities.
  3. Certified in CPR / AED.
  4. High School diploma or equivalent.
  5. Working knowledge of medical terminology.
  6. Must be detail-orientated.  Effective organizational skills.
  7. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, staff, providers, and the public.
  8. Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making.
  9. Ability to work in fast paced environments while keeping close attention to accuracy with minimal supervision.
  10. Ability to work independently and as a team participant.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  1. Two years of recent experience in Diagnostic Radiology.
  2. Interpret orders and special radiographic studies with minimal or no supervision.
  3. Must have sufficient creativity and independent judgment to modify learned skills to fit individual patient circumstances.

Pay Ranges

Base Hourly: $35 per hour
Annual: $73000 – $89000
