Description
Typical Requirements:
- Coordinate with electronic billing specialists and claim clearinghouse vendor to maintain payer data and set up.
- Assisting in the maintenance of the electronic remittance set up in the EHR and resolving/trouble shooting issues related to workflow.
- Posts electronic remittance.
- Investigates and resolves issues related to electronic remittance.
- Monitors payment posting records to ensure all payments are accurately applied.
- Reviews undistributed payments and credit balances for appropriate action.
- Processes “zero pay” explanation of benefits from various insurances.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes
Pay Ranges
Base Hourly:
$19 per hour
Annual:
$39000 – $48000
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
