As an HR Specialist, you will assists the Associate Administrator of Operations and Human Resources with human resource activities, including but not limited to recruitment, benefit and compensation administration, employee safety, management education and training, employee relations, leave of absence administration, and employment law.  You will also provide guidance to management staff in relation to employment law.

Assists the Associate Administrator of Operations and Human Resources with human resource activities, including but not limited to recruitment, benefit and compensation administration, employee safety, management education and training, employee relations, leave of absence administration, and employment law.  Provides guidance to management staff in relation to employment law.

Typical Requirements: 

  1. High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of accredited community college (AA Degree).
  2. Knowledge of human resource functions and a basic understanding of employment law.
  3. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications, including word processing and spreadsheet programs. Ability to type 50 words per minute.
  4. Excellent written and oral communication skills – able to spell correctly and demonstrate good writing skills.
  5. Ability to speak to large groups.
  6. Ability to clearly and concisely convey policies and procedures.
  7. Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task. Ability to manage multiple projects at one time.
  8. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees and the public.
  9. Ability to adapt to changing assignments and work pace.
  10. Ability to exercise initiative, judgment, and decision-making in meeting objectives.
  11. Ability to work in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
  12. Ability to remain objective in all situations.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or other related field.
  2. Previous experience working in a medical environment.
